Little Caesars
Rebrand launch video
Hail, Caesar!
The beloved Caesar character gets a makeover in this video announcing the new branding created by Turner Duckworth. New poses, props, and animations (with extra character animation by Jonathan Dahl) infuse more personality into all communications. Bright & cheery orange designs are brought to life with snappy animations and a fun score by Dan Wool.

Caesar reborn
This morphing animation highlights how TD refined every aspect of the Caesar drawing from toe to head.

…of the box
3D pizza box visuals are used throughout the video to highlight the streamlined new look and allow for smooth transitions between different design activations. Some renders ended up as final art in social media ads.

Tile work
The new LC pattern animates from a mosaic pattern into a Welcome message.

End tagging
A 3D box lid is used to close this video and serve as the new start for the famous “Pizza Pizza” TV ad end tags

Caesar on ice
Hockey-skating Caesar was a big hit in the rebrand launch video, so Little Caesars and Turner Duckworth hired me to create a 15sec ad for the new Little Caesars Arena giant Jewel wraparound screen. Building on the initial animation sketches by Jonathan Dahl, I refined things, and then added in new elements. Caesar skates past the boards weaving in and out, passes the pizza puck (to himself!) and smacks a pizza photo end tag up to giant proportions.

Skating in circles
The Jewel screen is enormous at 16,128 x 1,022 pixels and runs at 60fps. Accounting for the size (and arched openings in parts of the screen) meant planning for some specific tiling. The end effect was a fast-paced flyby of whizzing panes of glass and pizza pucks.
Music break
A concert-themed ad was created for when Little Caesars Arena plays host to different musical acts.
Caesar on stage
Turner Duckworth brought me back to make Caesar a musical star. A new set of visuals was created to light(bulb) up the LC pattern, dial up the pizza, EQ the pizza boxes, and flood Caesar in lights as he sings into a much-too-tall mic stand.
